From autism to anxiety and dyslexia to diabetes, ‘disability’ covers a wide range of conditions, and those disabilities might not always be visible. Totaling over one billion people globally, people with disabilities – those whose hearing, visual, cognitive, mobility, speech or neural functions are impaired – are the largest minority group in the world.
To recognise and promote the rights and wellbeing of people living with disabilities, DHL Express wanted to celebrate people with disabilities on the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Our creative approach shows that we all have layers and that there’s so much more to see than what’s on the surface. A disability is just one part of who we are. Through a range of assets used across social media, posters, DHL’s employee communications app and DHL TV, the creative challenges perceptions around all types of disability and encourages all employees to look beyond the surface.
We also produced an informative infographic, to guide DHL Express team members on how to support colleagues living with disabilities, including top tips for being a good ally.
