When your people are at their best, so is your business. The way that people relate to their workspace, and the degree to which they find it both comfortable and functional, is pivotal to job satisfaction and success. Getting your employees working environment right improves employee motivation, increases productivity, and builds a greater sense of employee wellbeing.
As part of their commitment to supporting the mental and physical wellbeing of their team, DHL Express wanted to refresh their Stockholm HQ in a way that would encourage their employees to live a well-balanced life which is healthy, fulfilling and rewarding. We were asked to bring our creative and employer branding insight to turn the office into an inviting space that puts wellbeing at the centre of the design.
Combining strategy, design, and a deep understanding of the DHL Express company culture, we delivered designs for 25 different spaces throughout the building, that considered wellbeing messaging, wall designs, foliage, artwork, and furnishings. Permeated through the creative is an appreciation of the local culture, via room themes and artwork. Motivational messaging is displayed throughout the building in appropriate locations, and is meaningful, respectful, and significant, relating to DHL’s brand heritage or to health and wellbeing. The design supports physical and mental wellbeing by filling the spaces with natural light and greenery. The creative approach considered the comfort, health, wellbeing, iconic use of the DHL brand, sustainability, and the need for flexibility.
