During Pride month, it’s common for brands to jump on the bandwagon, adorning their social media profiles with rainbow flags and logos. But understanding the true spirit of Pride month goes beyond these symbolic gestures, DHL recognized the need to start a genuine conversation.
As part of DHL’s ongoing global commitment to creating an inclusive and equal workplace where every employee feels seen, heard and safe to be themselves, DHL wanted to proudly show their solidarity by supporting and celebrating Pride month.
To better support LGBTQ+ identities and communities and shed light on important issues, DHL aimed to educate its employees on how to show support, embrace diversity, and practice inclusivity
During Pride month, we introduced a series of weekly communications, including posters, infographics, social media posts, informative articles, an allyship guide, and a summary video.
Making a meaningful difference
With DHL’s global workforce, there are many cultural differences that needed to be considered. To provide everyone with appropriate communications, we provided two creative treatments – one that used a softer approach and another that embraced a bolder creative option. This meant the campaign could be rolled out to everyone, receiving excellent engagement and uptake across the globe.
