Ofcom had recently refreshed its brand and launched a new strategy to employees. Whilst the strategy and message initially landed well, there was a significant opportunity to build further engagement.

A hero video proved to be the perfect solution for achieving multiple goals: helping employees understand what lies ahead in the next year, empowering their contributions to Ofcom’s future, and reaching the entire workforce across the network. The video was introduced during the annual employee meeting and simultaneously live-streamed, ensuring it reached every employee within the organisation.

Real employees were the focus of the video, with the people of Ofcom helping to build authentic stories and an understanding of the strategy in action. Skilfully blending animation and real footage, the video showcased the fresh brand look and feel. A simple narrative ensured transparency of message, clearly outlining the benefits the new strategy would have on employees.

Change without direction can lead to confusion. A united and shared vision acts as a north star, helping guide employees through times of change.

Making a meaningful difference
